If you’ve always dreamt of owning a truck that can drive itself, it’s closer to reality than you think. Next year, GMC will make the 2022 Sierra 1500 Denali the latest vehicle to offer Super Cruise™. Super Cruise™ is the world’s first truly hands-free driving technology.
The 2022 GMC Sierra 1550 Denali will be the second vehicle to offer Super Cruise™ in the GMC lineup. The first is the 2022 GMC HUMMER EV Edition 1, which sold out within hours of its reveal last year. GMC will offer Super Cruise™ late in the 2022 model year for Sierra 1500 Denali trucks.
Because the technology reaches the Sierra 1500 Denali later, it means the luxurious pickup will get the latest version. The most up-to-date version of Super Cruise™ will offer at least one must-have upgrade: the ability to drive hands-free while trailering. Current vehicles equipped with Super Cruise™ do not have this ability.
As for where Super Cruise™ can take you, the system works on more than 200,000 miles of roads across the United States and Canada. So you could very well take your 2022 road trip and cover tons of ground without having your hands on the wheel.
The Super Cruise™-equipped 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali will be available soon at Anthony Buick GMC in Gurnee, Illinois. If you’re interested in the latest advances that GMC has to offer for today and tomorrow, visit our showroom and we’ll show you what’s on the table.
